Carl & Abe were getting older.
When they got together for lunch, they always talked about baseball.
But now that they were older, they began to worry about dying, and whether there was baseball in heaven.

They agreed that whoever died first would come back and tell the other if there was baseball in heaven.

A few years went by and one night Abe died in his sleep.
The next night Carl heard a voice, “CARL!”
He answered, “Abe, is that really you?”
Abe answered, “Yes, it’s me.”
Carl said, “Well tell me, is there baseball in heaven?”
Abe said, “Well I have good news and bad news. Yes. There IS baseball in heaven.”
Carl said, “That is good news! So what’s the bad news?”

Abe said, “You’re pitching tomorrow.”

Rom 8:1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Ya never know when it’s gonna be YOUR turn! :)
So the best we can do is BE READY! (Amen?)

Liberty is the absence of living under coercion or constraint.
It is the fact of being released from restriction.
REAL liberty is being released from the power of sin which coerces and restrains.

Notice that verse 2 above states Christians are free "from the law of sin and death."
That simply means, as Paul states in verse 1 above, there is "NO CONDEMNATION!"

Notice also, that the liberty is granted conditionally.
It is only for those who "walk...after the Spirit."
That Spirit is the Spirit of LIFE in Christ!

The person "in Christ" is free from eternal condemnation for he/she has received eternal salvation!

Our forefathers declared liberty when they declared independence from the restraint of the government, king, and defined worship.
But in order to MAINTAIN freedom, we must LIVE as “free spirits” in the Lord!!

First, we must be CLOSE to the Lord, through prayer and Bible study.
Second, we must have CONNECTION with the world.
And third, we must USE our connection to TELL the world of our LORD!

Are you living as a "FREE SPIRIT?"

"The God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?" Thomas Jefferson

Love ya!
