A man is standing on the side of a wharf, with his feet completely encompassed by a large block of concrete. A big burly man is standing beside him, about to push him into the ocean.

A man walks by, who happens to be a psychiatrist. The fella with the concrete yells, "HELP!! I'm in danger!!"

The psychiatrist pulls out a notepad and pencil and asks, "And how does that make you feel?"

Luke 21:28
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Immediately preceeding this verse (Verses 8-19), Jesus foretells events of the future (from 30AD) that will be frightful:
Deceivers calling themselves Christ,
Nations fighting,
Earthquakes, famines, diseases,
Betrayal by close kin and friends,
Christians hated by all men,
Jersualem beseiged,
Jews fighting for their lives,
Sights of the heavens that are fearful,
And, men literally dying from FEAR!

But notice that Jesus didn't ask, "How does that make you FEEL?"
No. He said, "LOOK UP!!"

In all things, concerning all circumstances, let us not forget to LOOK UP! Instead of being "cast down," let us look toward Christ with sure hope. Instead of groping in the darkness of fear, let us look toward the "Light" Who gives us joy.

It's not how you FEEL that's important. It's what you DO that's important. And Christ tells us exactly what to DO -- "LOOK UP!"

Why should we look up? Because "your redemption draweth nigh." Our Lord, and His immediate help and eternal redemption is NIGH -- near, close at hand! He's as close as your next prayer!

So, in all things, let us remain focused upon our Lord and His will in our lives. "Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed." (Heb 12:12-13)

Today "LOOK UP!"
Tomorrow "LOOK UP!"
Continually "LOOK UP!"

Love ya,
