THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Honestly, as a Christian, ask yourself if you believe God thinks this is a good use of your money.
The lottery is a tax on poor people and people who can’t do math.
How do I know this?
Because these are the only people who play the lottery!

SCRIPTURE__________________________________

John 19:23-24
23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments,
and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat:
now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it,
whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith,
They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots.
These things therefore the soldiers did.

Practically, I can’t understand how anyone would believe God would smile on gambling.

Playing the lottery is a fool’s errand!

Think about only one form, for example, the “daily pick,” or “pick four.”
One chooses four numbers.
Each of those 4 numbers has 10 possibilities (0-9).
That means there are 10 (to the power of 4) possibilities, or 10,000.
Therefore, the one ticket probability is .01% (1/10 of a percent).

To me, that means 9,999 tickets are USELESS!!

When you are tempted to gamble, remember this:
The LAST thing Jesus saw was soldiers GAMBLING for His clothes!

Love ya!
