DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"LOVE Against ANGER"

I've heard it said that a strong marriage takes
two people who are good forgivers.

That's true in families also; and
in churches.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Eph 4:26-27
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go
down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

To stay angry about a past event is to invite
the devil to continue fueling the fire of that
anger.
That will fester and affect emotions and
actions!

We need to remember, something that has
happened in the PAST, has PASSED.

Lingering thoughts on happy events brings
joy.
Lingering thoughts on unhappy events bring
sadness, and anger.
How do we UNfuel the fire?
With the love of Jesus!

Jesus' love is without restraint!
It is love given without thought of return.
In fact, it is spoken of, in the Bible, as CHARITY!

The word love Jesus used in John 15:12
is the Greek word "agape."
The word charity in 1Cor. 13 is the same word!

In John 15:12, Jesus said, "This is my commandment,
That ye love one another, as I have loved you."

How did Jesus love us? WITHOUT RESTRAINT!
He was hated, despised, scorned, mocked, and
eventually crucified.
He went to the CROSS in order to put MY sins and
YOUR sins aside and CONTINUE His love
toward us!

And, remember, Jesus said in Luke 9:23,
"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him DENY
himself, and take up his cross DAILY, and follow me."

(NKJV)

Are YOU following Jesus' example in your:
marriage, family, and church family?

Don't let anger about a past event affect your emotions
and actions!
UNfuel it with the LOVE of JESUS!

Love ya!
