Once Ann and I were getting ready for work.
The children had gotten off to school on the bus, and we were "picking up."

As I knelt down to tie the garbage bag, a piece of glass cut through my pant leg and cut my knee.

Ann was so concerned she came to kneel down and check out my leg.

Well, her knee was not protected by a pant leg, and the glass got her even worse!
We had to spend the morning in the doctor's office getting her sewed up!

Rom 12:9-10
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

I think sometimes we take Jesus' command to "love thy neighbor as thyself" a little to lightly!!

Love must produce fruit; it cannot be shown until it's sown.

Paul puts it in a better perspective.
Our love for Christian brothers and sisters should be shown in our concern for their well-being.

When a fellow Christian is having a difficult time, we should be right there ready to kneel down and pray with them.
And we should also offer ourselves for whatever help we can give.

We should SHOW our affection toward each other and we should "prefer" one another above ourself.

Now, I'll tell ya -- it's really difficult to quibble and fight when ya do that!

Love ya,
