THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
"More finesse and less force."
That's what the golf instructor told his student.
"Of course, you must have good force; but
you must use finesse in order to have a fluid swing."
1 Cor 13:4
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not;
charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1 Cor 13:4
4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant,
LIGHT from the WORD.
Have you ever thought of love as a FORCE?
Love is the ONLY unbeatable force!
The truest example of pure love is JESUS!
God's force of love was tempered with finesse when Jesus was on earth.
When people of the synagogue were going to throw him off a cliff,
He just disappeared into the crowd with finesse. (See Lk 4:28-30)
Yet when people gathered to willingly hear Him, He taught them
and FED them with force. (See Mk 6:37-44)
When Jesus was faced with the soldiers at Gethsemane, He
used finesse and surrendered.
But when Jesus had satisfied God's anger with His sacrifice,
and been crucified and buried, He used force to come
out of the grave!!
Christian, the love God has put inside you is UNBEATABLE!
It is, in itself, a FORCE!
But we cannot force love on someone else.
It has to be handled with finesse!
Find a way to show and give the love of Christ with others.
