Sarah worked with several other ladies and each took their turn making the coffee in the mornings.

One day it was Sarah's turn.
She put fresh coffee in a filter, and placed it in the percolator.
Then, she went into the restroom to fill the pot with water.

While she was getting the water, she noticed that her lipstick was slightly smeared from her husband's good-bye kiss.
She repaired the damage.
Then, she noticed that her hair had been disheveled by the wind on the way to work.
She began to brush her hair.

Just then, a note came sliding under the door of the restroom.
It read:
"We give up! We'll pay ANY ransom! Just bring the water for the coffee!"

Rom 5:3-5
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing
hat tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is
shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Suppose we take three items: a carrot, an egg, and some coffee.
We subject all of three to boiling water.

The carrots enter hard and unrelenting.
The egg enters slightly protected, but as a liquid.
The coffee enters in unprotected grounds.

Each item was subjected to the same adversity.
The carrot is changed from hard to soft.
The egg is changed from soft to hard.

But the coffee CHANGES THE WATER!

Christian, when you face adversity, know that God's love is "shed abroad
in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us!"

Instead of allowing adversity to soften you and make you weak;
Instead of allowing adversity to harden you and make you unfeeling;

Let His love work through you and be an agent of change!

Love ya!
