I remember, in 2006, when I was driving to preach a revival.
It was POURING rain!
I was wondering how many will come out to the revival.
But I was amazed at the grace of God, because MANY
arrived for the service.
Also, a huge oak tree fell on one of our friends house.
It could have leveled the whole house.
But there was minimal damage because the larger limbs
on the bottom of the tree struck the ground first.
They broke the fall of the tree and lessened the damage.
God's grace whas shown again!
1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from
day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared
above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made
LIGHT from the WORD.
Life is not always fair!
Things happen, and we wonder WHY?
But God is always there to give us LIGHT, or understanding!
Sometimes, even when we are striving to live FOR our Lord,
circumstances beyond our control bring disaster into our lives.
Maybe it is to let us know that we are utterly dependent upon
the Lord and not ourselves.
Maybe it is to drive us to our knees, acknowledging Him as
"the Fountain of life!"
The "prodigal son" was never safer than when he was driven
home to his father!
Jeremiah was never safer than when he was on his knees in
Elijah was never safer than when he went in despair to the
wilderness and heard that "still small voice."
All our talent, skill, abilities, training, money, and even religious
experiences are useless when we face the unfairness of life!
But JESUS is STILL the answer!!
We must depend entirely upon Him as "the Fountain of life!"
In Him and in Him alone do we "see LIGHT!"
And, praising Jesus in the catastrophe and storm is enough
not only to calm believers, but also to
"show forth His salvation from day to day!"
Tell of His wonderful grace!
Let others see His LIGHT!
