Fear not that your life shall come to an end,
but that it shall never have a beginning.
Make the most of you, for that is all there is of you.
2 Cor 5:14-15
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge,
that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
14Either way, Christís love controls us. Since we believe that
Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.
15He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will
no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ,
who died and was raised for them.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Does the love of Christ constrain or control you?
The love of Christ for you constrained and controlled HIM!!
You and I were "dead in trespasses and sin!" (See Eph. 2:1)
But Jesus came!
He died that we might be forgiven.
He died that we might live fully and freely in His wonderful grace.
He rose that we might be justified in the sight of God.
He came to call us when we were on the road to hell.
And, when we surrendered to Him,
He washed us in His blood and sealed us in His Spirit!
He wrote our names in the "book of life."(See Ppns. 4:3)
Today, determine to let the power of God IN you make you:
Penitent - praying for His forgiveness, and help to serve Him;
Studious - studying the Bible to find His will;
A servant - using your abilities in His ministry;
A friend indeed - encouraging others daily;
Bold in witnessing - sharing the Gospel with others!
Above all, let HIS power "constrain," or "control"
the focus of your planning and energies to live more for HIM!
