LIGHT from the WORD. 
Golf and boxing are examples of individual sports.
Even in those, respect for others should be shown.
Baseball, basketball, volleyball are team sports.
In these sports, a TEAM effort is necessary.
It is a MUST to have respect for others in order that EACH
player's talents may be utilized to the greatest extent.
We all have individual goals and aspirations.
We all have a talent (sometimes more) which allows us
to pursue our goals and attain them.
But, along the way, we SHOULD show respect for others!
Pride and selfishness actually HINDER our progress!
Pride and selfishness are actually SELF-DESTRUCTIVE!
God honors unselfishness!
It is the only attitude that will make us winners in the end.
