THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I heard some (supposed to be smart) economist say,
“If the debt ceiling isn’t raised, the government will cease to function.”
All I could think of to say was,
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The world of today is as much opposed to Christianity as it ever was.
pride is applauded more than humility’;
The manner of clothes worn reflects the “me” attitude;
Virtually every TV commercial is based on two themes: silliness, or sex;
Purchase of luxury today, usually outweighs purchase of food;
last year, U.S. citizens spent more on gambling than on food!
Light from the Word.
To be “conformed” literally means to put on the appearance of something else.
It is certainly not “Godly” to be “conformed to this world!”
Be “renewing” your heart daily by minding more precious things.
Let us review, learn and put into practice the “good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God!”
Let us be “transformed” into Christlikeness!
The caterpillar no longer conforms to the life of a worm when he is transformed!
He FLIES ‘till he DIES!
To “prove” the will of God being in our lives, we exhibit His will in the living of our lives.
Don’t be conformed to the world, be TRANSFORMED by Christ!
The will of God is “good,” “acceptable,” and “perfect”!
