Today's Devotion:
"Looking Forward We LABOR"
Each month my wife's cousins, who
live close enough, have a "get-together."
Everyone brings a little something to eat,
and we just have a good time together.
I look forward to those gatherings!
Those days are certainly a PAYDAY,
because they are filled with love, good
food and fellowship.

2Cor. 5:9-10
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present
or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment
seat of Christ; that every one may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath
done, whether it be good or bad.

_______THOUGHT______________
As Christians, we "labour" through the sinful
world, telling others of salvation through Jesus.
We do this because we KNOW we are
"ACCEPTED" in Christ. (John 1:12)
The blood of Christ has made the payment for
ALL sin by ALL mankind!
However, it is only received for me, you and
anyone if we surrender our lives to Christ.
(Lk. 9:23)
We labor because it is a sinful world and it is
hard to work through that and reach others for
Christ.
We labor because we have already surrendered
to Jesus as Lord of our lives, and He has given
us full assurance of His acquital and acceptance.
This is not something we have accomplished;
but is what He has given!
RG Lee wrote a sermon entitled "PAYDAY
SOMEDAY!"
In that sermon, he said, "The retributive providence
of God is a reality as certainly as the laws of
gravitation are a reality."
EVERYONE will stand before Christ at the
judgment seat one day!
LOOK FORWARD to that day brothers and
sisters who are "in Christ!"
And LABOR to help others enter that day with
ACCEPTANCE!
