THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
There are two difficult things in this world:
One, is to make a name for yourself,
The other is to KEEP it!
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For a Christian to “prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God,” he/she must be
WITH Christ in all of his/her living.
In Matthew 12:30, Jesus says,
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”
Christians should be “non-conformers” when it comes to the habits and maxims of the world.
Instead, we are to be “transformed by the renewing” of our minds.
We must learn to think, and put action in our lives, that is DIFFERENT, yet ACCEPTABLE.
For instance, learn to “speak the truth in love.” (Eph. 4:15)
We are to be under the laws of the state, but governed by the Word of God.
We are to develop principals which will bring aid to our community.
We are to cultivate actions which show attachment to God and a likeness to Christ.
What is that “good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God?”
It is that expressed in the WORD of God.
“..Be ye DOERS of the Word, and not hearers only!” (James 1:22)
MAKE the name “Christian.”
And KEEP it.
