"MAKE the GOOD NEWS SELL"
It is important, when meeting someone new,
to help them understand you are really
interested in them.
For instance, if you find out they go to
church, you might ask, "What color are
the eyes of your pastor?"
I asked that once, and a fellow put on a
sly grin.
Then he said, "Well, I really don't know.
You see, when he prays, he closes his eyes.
And, when he preaches, I close mine."

14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to
come unto thee shortly:
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know
how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the
house of God, which is the church of the living
God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

The main function of the church is to present
Jesus Christ to the world.
A lifestyle of personal evangelism is very
important.
Because Jesus is the "Pillar and
ground of the truth" that God came in flesh
to offer eternal salvation through His death,
burial and resurrection.
God literally GAVE HIMSELF as the only
perfect sacrifice for the sins of man.
Jesus is the FOUNDATION of genuine faith!
He is the FOUNTAIN from which flows the
strength of our faith.
Through Jesus Christ, man can be washed
clean, sanctified - or cleansed for service -
and justified in the sight of God.
The "church of the Living God" is to present
that truth to the world.
Most of the NEWS of the world in media, is
bad news, because it SELLS.
The only GOOD NEWS is that Jesus desires
ALL men to be saved!
It is the function of the church to make that
news SELL by keeping it at the forefront of
the Christian life.
