THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

It’s been really hectic around our house for the last 5 weeks.
We’ve been remodeling the house, trying to work in vacations.
And it seems a lot of “extra” things have been hurrying us.

But when I read the Scripture below in my devotion time this morning,
this ole chorus, written by Jim Hill, came to mind....

“What a day that will be
When my Jesus I shall see
And I look upon His face
The One who saved my by His grace
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promised Land
What a day, glorious day that will be!”

SCRIPTURE__________________________________

1 Thess 4:16-18
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

THOUGHT____________________________________

When our Lord Jesus steps out of heaven and become visible, there’ll be a great “SHOUT!”
Millions of Christians are going to be very glad to SEE Him!!

Every time I hear an unexpected train horn, I think of the next phrase:
”..with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God..”

Sight and sound will fill Christians hearts with great JOY!

Those believers in Christ who have died will “rise first!”
Those dead bodies will rise, and Christ shall rejoin their spirits with them.

THEN, “we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds!”
We’ll defy gravity, take a little space walk, and meet there “in the air,” with our Lord.

There, we will be forever “with the Lord!”

When that happens, we’ll never be hurried or harried again!

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.”
(Rev. 21:4)

So, next time you enter a day with pressure,
Meditate on your EXIT!

Love ya!
