THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Yesterday, Ann & I were driving back home from Shreveport.
We were talking about all the sad things that have happened recently in our lives:
Broken wrist, sprained knee, emergency gall bladder surgery, death in the family.
All of a sudden, Ann said, "Wait a minute! Look at the sky, the sun, the green trees and grass!
Let's praise the Lord for the GOOD things!"
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Indeed! Let's praise the Lord for the GOOD things!
Let's MEDITATE on those good things!
We must remember that Christ has give us "everlasting consolation" (2Thess 2:16).
Eternal pardon for sin upon our surrender to Him;
His Holy Spirit witness constantly in our heart of salvation;
His Holy Word witness to our heart of complete justification;
His acceptance in the "brotherhood;"
And, ultimately, a "mansion" in His Holy Heaven!
These are only SOME of the good things!
When ya face tuff times;
When everything seems to be "topsy turvy";
When your world is almost upside down;
THINK, MEDITATE on these things!
Let them "comfort" your heart and give you peace!
