It was 8:00PM, and Mary's Mom said, "Mary, it's time for you to take your bath."

Mary said, "Mom, I wish you'd let me take my bath in the morning."

Mom asked, "Why, honey?"

Mary said, "Every day Mrs. Taylor asks for everyone to stand up who's had a bath today. We've been in school three months, and I haven't been able to stand up yet!"

Ps 119:15
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

We are better Christians in social times when we have spent silent times meditating upon God's Word.
We are better at fellowship with others when we have spent time in fellowship with God first.

There is so much to learn from the Word of God. In reading and meditating we gather truths that are pertinent to life. We must read the Word, then meditate upon it, to have God's perspective upon living and interacting with others. After all, our goal for living as Christians is to live for God's purposes.

We can only "have respect" to God's "way" when we are studious IN "the way." Jesus is THE way. He and His character are revealed in the Word.

To build a life that is reflective of God's character, we must first build the character into our lives by studying God's Word.

Meditation upon the word includes reading, repeating, memorizing, underlining, rewriting, and thinking about what we have received. These things help us to learn, and then to put what we've learned into action.

Remember to schedule TIME with God and His Word. Each day your understanding will grow for God teaches us "precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little , and there a little:" (Isa 28:10)
