THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"...

JESUS knew our name before we did.

Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too.

He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our head!

Isaiah wrote this revelation he received from God as early as 740BC.

The statement was delivered by God to Isaiah for the Jewish nation.
Just as the church is today, the nation of Israel was to be a messenger, carrying this message of God to the world.

From this statement, much is to be known about Jesus.

The "son" would be born of a "virgin!"
In over 6,000 years of recorded history, only ONE "virgin ... conceive(d)," and had a son!
To "conceive," this virgin would not have the help of a man!
And this would fulfill the prophecy God spoke to Eve and the devil in Genesis 3:15,
"I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

For centuries, Genesis 3:15 was considered and dismissed simply because a woman does not have "seed."
However, in the case of Mary, Jesus was conceived by a miracle of God!

God did not choose one man, born from the myriads of mankind.
God came HIMSELF, in the form of a baby, miraculously conceived in a virgin!

This child would be called "Immanuel"!
This is the meaning of that term: "with us is GOD!"

When mankind was steeped in sin;
When mankind was lost in sin and headed for an eternal hell;
When the thoughts of mankind were "only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5);
" ...God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." (Galatians 4:4-5)

God came to be WITH us,
to fight the battle of sin FOR us,
and to OFFER eternal life through Jesus!

THAT'S the message of CHRISTmas!

Love ya!
