Back in the 1940's, Bill, a five-year-old, wanted a red wagon for Christmas.
His parents explained that money was "tight," and he might not be able to get a red wagon.

Billy prayed several weeks, explaining to God that the wagon would help him haul wood for the fireplace.

On Christmas morning, the pastor walked out of the parsonage which adjoined the church.
He was looking at the nativity scene, and thanking God for Jesus.
But he sensed something was wrong.

He walked over to the nativity scene and noticed that the baby Jesus wasn't in the manger!
Out loud, the pastor asked the Lord, "Now why would someone steal the baby Jesus?"

Just then he heard a rumbling and turned to see Billy.
Billy's soft voice said, "Pastor, I didn't steal Him. I just borrowed Him for awhile.
You see, I promised Jesus if I got a red wagon for Christmas, He could have the first ride!"

Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

About 2017 years ago, the prophecies of Messiah in the Old Testament came TRUE!
A "Son" was born of a "virgin!" (Isaiah 7:14)

He is the "Savior," Messiah of the Old Testament! (Isaiah 43:11, Malachi 3:1)
When He was born, "a multitude of the heavenly host praising God," sang "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." (Luke 2:13-14)
For, you see, He is the prophesied "Savior," Who brought the offer of forgiveness and eternal salvation for all mankind Himself!

He is the "Christ," the Anointed One of God! (Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2)
He is the One "Son," the one "body" of God; and the ONLY ONE Who could bring an acceptable sacrifice to God.
Through His blood, Holiness was paid for our unholiness.
Through His blood, Sinlessness was paid for our sinfulness.
And through Him, and Him ALONE, can we receive forgiveness, acceptance, justification before God!

He is the "LORD," the Almighty Creator, the visible image of the invisible God! (Hosea 13:4, Isaiah 43:15, Heb. 1:3)
The Jesus of the New Testament is the Jehovah of the Old Testament!
He is the embodiment of all that God is (Col. 2:9).
In Jesus is the "revelation" of God (Rev. 1:1).
And all we'll ever know of God is in Jesus. (Rev. 22:3)

This baby in the manger came to bring innocent hope and forgiveness to you and me.
This baby came to sacrifice His life in our place.
This baby paid the ONLY ransom God would accept; because
He is LORD!

THAT'S the message of CHRISTmas!

HE is born to YOU!
Have you received God's "present"?
Do you know His presence?

Love ya!
