DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"MOTHER"

There were 8 children in the family.
Dad worked hard, and was quiet-spoken.
He hardly ever showed appreciation to Mom
for keeping the small house so well.

The children were worried that he did not really
respect her.

On afternoon, Mom had gone to the store.
She stopped on the way back to help a neighbor
who had a sick child.

When Dad came home, all the kids were in the
living room, doing homework.

He looked into the living room, and looked at
each child.
Then he said, Where is everybody?

AH! Mom was his everybody!

The children never worried again about Dad
respecting Mom!

_______THOUGHT_____________________________

Just what IS the law of thy mother?

Kindness, gentleness, sharing, caring, selflessness,
giving.
It is the law of LOVE!

God says mothers are due respect (Exodus 20:12).
And, watch your mouth children!
In Deut. 27:16 God says curse on anyone who
dishonors father or mother...

Mothers are leaders in economic affairs.
In Proverbs 31:16, she was to aid her husband in
purchase of land.
In Proverbs 31:24, she sold merchandise, made
by her hands, for the family.
Lydia was a seller of purple cloth (Acts 16:14).

Sometimes mothers are even involved in military
affairs.
Deborah was a wife, prophet, and judge.
(Judges 4:4-8).

But above all, mothers are leaders in religious affairs.
In 2Kings 22:14, the prophetess Huldah was
consulted to speak for God to King Josiah.
In 2Timothy 1:5-7, The grandmother and mother
are held up for Timothy to examine for FAITH!

What a wonderful chain about thy neck this LAW
of thy mother!

Wear it proudly!

And honor your mother!

Love ya!
