“Men sometimes speak as if humility and meekness would rob us of what is noble and bold and manlike.
O that all would believe that this (meekness) is the nobility of the kingdom of heaven,
that this is the royal spirit that the King of heaven displayed, that this is Godlike, to humble oneself,
to become the servant of all!”
Andrew Murray, Humility

Eph 3:9-11
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,
which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God,
who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places
might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Perhaps the most mystifying part of Christmas is the meekness of God Almighty
displayed in the Babe of the manger.

He Who created all things by the power of simply speaking His Word is
"wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger!" (Lk 2:12)

Is this not the "fellowship of the mystery?"
For, today, this mystery is "known by the church," and is "the manifold wisdom of God."

This mystery is that God had an "eternal purpose," and that purpose is displayed in the Person of Jesus Christ.
The glorious King of eternity comes "meek and lowly in heart" into this world.
And, He came that we might learn of Him and find "rest unto your souls."
(Matt. 11:29)

This my friends is meekness displayed!!

Mistake not humility for fearfulness, nor meekness for weakness!

The Almighty Omnipotent Holy and Majestic King of eternity restrained His power to be found
"lying in a manger." (Luke 2:12)
The Omniscient God restrained His power to be "crucified" for our sins. (John 19:18)

The purpose of this mystery revealed in Christ is that true power is restrained only by true love!
God's LOVE sent "His Only begotten Son" to die on the cross for our sakes! (John 3:16)

OH! The “eternal purpose” of the mystery!
The restraint of God’s power to exhibit His love!

Aren't you glad that mystery is revealed in Jesus!

Love ya!
