23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise Him; all ye the seed of Jacob,
glorify Him; and fear Him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the
afflicted; neither hath He hid his face from him; but when he
cried unto him, He heard.
LIGHT from the WORD.
I love the 2nd verse of that old hymn "Never Alone."
"The world’s fierce winds are blowing,
Temptations are sharp and keen;
I feel a peace in knowing
My Savior stands between;
He stands to shield me from danger,
When earthly friends are gone,
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone."
Christian, do you sometimes feel alone and forsaken?
It's the devil's ploy to turn you away from God's will in your life!
Notice, in our Scripture above, the words "fear."
The first time it is translated from the Hebrew yare'.
It means to have immense reverence.
The second time it is translated from the Hebrew guwr.
It means turn aside from your path and take lodging
in a secure place!
Christian, if you genuinely reverence the Lord,
you may take lodging in Him!
Christian, God hears your every cry in Jesus!
You will be held up, because God's power is able to make
you stand firm!
Take your LODGING in CHRIST when you feel alone!
TALK to Him earnestly, constantly!
And, you'll be NEVER ALONE!
