THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Some years ago, as part of a project for a psychology class, I was visiting an insane asylum.
I asked the director how it was determined if a patient should be institutionalized.
He said, "We fill up a bathtub and offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket. Then we ask the patient to empty the bathtub."
I said, "Oh. I understand. The normal person would use the bucket."
He said, "No sir. The normal person would just pull the plug in the bathtub.
Do you want a bed with a window view?"
2 Cor 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
What is “normal” anyway?
To whom would you compare yourself for “normality?”
Did you know that 89% of people don’t make their bed daily?
So, are you “normal?”
Or, are you what your mother would call “unkempt?”
91% of people lie regularly.
And, 91% of people believe in divine judgment (but apparently not for lying).
90% of people believe one has to be “good” to get to heaven.
On the other hand, 90% of people do NOT believe Jesus is the only standard for “good.”
According to those three statistics, would you rather be “normal” or “different?”
Just like the flowers, birds, bees and trees, every person is uniquely different!
So be different!
Make your bed.
And live in FAITH!
