THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Ruth Graham once was experiencing rebellion in one of her daughters.
The child had "sassed" the sitter, and Mrs. Graham had to come home from a women's conference to chastise her.

That evening, when she was again away at the meeting, the sitter called again with the same problem.
This time, when Mrs. Graham entered the front door, she started up the stairs toward her daughter with shoe in hand!

The daughter suddenly blurted out, "Mom, the devil made me do it. But when he saw you coming, he RAN!”

Yup! I think I'd run too!

THOUGHT_________________________________________________________

Is there ANYTHING too hard for God?
Of course, the question is rhetorical!
NOTHING is too hard for God!

However, God doesn't always treat us like we think He should.
But Jeremiah already knew that the land would have no value whatsoever, because everyone was going to be carried off to Babylon as captives.
And those who escaped the Babylonian captivity, leaving the country for Egypt would die!

Why would God want Jeremiah to purchase the land?
Well, Jeremiah didn't ask!!

Faith is not always reasonable!
We are not asked to follow God by reason, but by FAITH!

We, as Christians, must remember that when God tells us to do something, He also promises His presence and power to accomplish it.
Certainly WE cannot accomplish God's goals for us without Him working powerfully in us!

So what is God telling YOU to do today?
Pray? Praise? Study? Witness? Give? Attend? Teach? Visit?

Remember as you seek to accomplish these things, that faith is not always reasonable.
Just do as God says, and expect Him to be IN it!

There's NOTHING too hard for God!

Love ya,
Bruce
