THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

You might be in education if....
You want to slap the next person who says,
"Must be nice to work from 8 to 3 and have your summers free!"

Al Lingren, professor at an evangelical seminary, tells a story about taking his son fishing one day.
His son was then in junior high school.
It was one of those days when the fish didn't bite, so they had a lot of time to talk.

It seemed like the question came out of left field.
Al's son asked, "Dad, what do you think is the hardest thing God ever tried to do?"
Al, was momentarily stumped, and just returned a question: "Well, son, what do YOU think it was?"

His son said, "Dad, you're a preacher. You should know the hardest thing God ever tried to do. When I was studying science in school, I thought it was maybe creating the universe. Then, we were talking in Sunday School about the resurrection, and I thought maybe that was the hardest thing God ever tried to do. But then I realized that most people don't really know God very well. I think the hardest thing God ever tried to do was get us to understand Who He is, and that He loves us."

No doubt, the hardest thing God ever tried to do was to tell us Who He is, and make us understand that He loves us.

But NOTHING is "too hard" for God!

He came in the Person of Jesus Christ.
Phil 2:5-8
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
KJV

He revealed somewhat of His omniscience when at only 12 years of age He stumped the scholars in the temple.
He revealed somewhat of His omnipotence when He healed lepers, the blind and the lame; and raised people from death.

And He revealed His holy love for us when He died on the cross at Calvary for our sins.
The Holy God paid the price for sinful man.
The Perfect died for the imperfect.

Praise God!
NOTHING is "too hard" for Him!

Love ya!
