THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

I get dozens of e-mails per day promising a health food or drink will give me a better life.

May I tell you of ONE drink which gives REAL LIFE?

John 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The heart is like a dry desert till Jesus enters it, and then becomes a wellspring of water!

First, notice this wellspring is a gift from Christ.
It can come from no other!

Second, notice the wellspring is placed inside the heart.
It is placed in the center of living and decision making.

Third, notice the wellspring produces everlasting life.
From this well springs the realization of eternal salvation.
From this well springs the joy of an eternal hope that can be found nowhere else.
That eternal hope has "substance" and produces "evidence" (Heb. 11:1)

But, fourth, and most important, notice this wellspring is for "whosoever!"
It is for sinners all - great or small.
It is for sinners repentant, who determine to "drinketh;" or,
for those who determine to imbibe...or continually soak up like a sponge.
ONE drink, in surrender, results in CONTINUAL drinking from this fountain!

There is a song, written by Fanny Crosby, called "Come To The Fountain."
The first verse goes like this:
"Come with thy sins to the fountain,
Come with thy burden of grief;
Bury them deep in its waters,
There thou wilt find a relief."

Having come to the wellspring in Christ, one is given TRUE LIFE!
John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
KJV

Have you come to the wellspring - to the fountain of REAL life?
Then know that it springs forever in your heart, to give you daily strength!

Love ya!
