DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

The State Trooper was sitting under the overpass on the interstate highway.
He saw a lady pass by.
It looked like she was texting.

So, he drove along behind her for awhile to be sure, then he turned his lights on.
The lady didn’t even slow down.

So, the State Trooper pulled alongside her car, rolled his window down, and beeped the siren.
The lady rolled her window down too, but didn’t slow down.

The Trooper could see she was KNITTING!
He yelled out, “PULL OVER!”

She yelled back, “NO. SWEATER!” and kept driving.... and knitting!

Rev 3:20-21
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
if any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne,
even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

LIGHT from the WORD.

Revelation 3:20 introduces a doorway.
It is the doorway of EACH person's heart!

Jesus is KNOCKING, wanting to come in to each person's life.
The promise in the rest of that verse is that He WILL, if you'll just OPEN the door!
Not only will He come in, but He will STAY!

Then (vs 21), by staying, Jesus will help that person to learn how to OVERCOME!
Overcome doubts and fears of death!
Overcome all the difficulties faced in this life with the knowledge that
He IS your LIFE!
And, at the end of this physical life, you will KNOW you have the
privilege of being WITH Him in eternity!!

The question is: "HOW do I OVERCOME?" The answer is: "LET Jesus into your life!"
KEEP Jesus in your life.
Maintain a personal relationship with Him through daily prayer and Bible study.

Life sometimes throws us curves that distract us from spiritual reality!
And sometimes we, with Job, might say,
“Oh that I knew where I might find him!” (Job 23:3)
Here's the answer:

And, after Jesus ENTERS, we are KNOWN by Him.
He HELPS guide our way through this life by POINTING us to Bible study.

If we pray daily, and study the Bible, here is another promise.

Jesus has a designed end for our sweater of life.
Let us just keep knitting!

OPEN the door!
Be ASSURED of His PRESENCE!

Love ya!
