THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
If one truly believes the bridge on the way to work is safe,
then one will drive across it daily.
If one truly believes Jesus is Lord, then one will live a
life proving it.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Light from the Word.
Listen closely now!
Salvation is by confessing Jesus as Lord of one's life,
then, living that confession as a profession!
In order to confess that something is true, one must first believe it is true.
In order to prove belief of a truth, it must be confessed!
BECAUSE, see the next verse,
Paul is not saying the same as some namby-pamby preachers,
"just accept Jesus in your heart and you'll be saved."!!!!
Paul is emphatically stating that when one genuinely believes
Christ is LORD, that person will do two things:
1) Confess openly that Jesus is Lord of his/her life,
2) Live a life expressing that belief.
Believing only in the heart that Jesus is Lord,
causes man to WANT to be righteous.
And an openly confessing life of that truth shows Jesus is IN that life!!
Too bad God has lots of "secret-service" believers!
Unless one is openly confessing Christ with his/her life,
he/she hasn't truly believed!
When one openly confesses Jesus as Lord, God
HELPS to live the life of that confession as a profession.
Have you confessed Jesus as Lord of your life?
Are you living that truth?
