THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A few nights following Payne Stewart's second PGA Open victory
(less than six months before he died), friends gathered to pay tribute to the champ.

The focal point of the party was a big-screen replay of the final-day TV coverage.
Seeing the tape for the first time, Payne watched images of himself sinking the
winning putt and moments later giving credit to God.

At the party, Stewart's pastor, J. B. Collingsworth, noticed Payne walking away
trying to hide the tears welling up in his eyes.
When he faced his pastor, the tears began to flow.

Collingsworth recalls, "I put my arm around him and said, 'Payne, I just want you
to know I appreciate what God's doing with your heart.'
He looked at me as hard as he could, tears now streaming down his face.
He said, 'J. B., I'm not going to be a Bible-thumper.
I'm not going to stand up on some stump. But I want everybody to know—it's Jesus.'"

as a thirsty land. Selah.

Light from the Word.

Basically Wednesday of Christ's Passion Week is silent in the Bible.
It is a day of reflection and meditation.

This is the month of Spring:
flowers blossoming to reveal new beginnings.

Anytime we need new beginnings in our soul we must reflect and meditate.

So, let's reflect.
For the lost person, there is no hope of blossoming to eternal beauty,
unless he/she is first SOWN in the "righteousness" that is of Christ.

So, let's meditate.
For the saved person, the more we "SOW" the righteousness of Christ in our soul,
the more assurance by faith we have that Christ will one day "reap in mercy" our sinful soul.

For BOTH, "it is time to seek the LORD!"
“Meditate” on all His wonderful works!
”Thirst” after Him!

OPEN your heart to Christ!
Then, your heart will blossom and exhibit the flower of its intended beauty!

Be in tune with God's natural things.
Seek the "rain" of His "righteousness" in your soul.

Let's reflect and meditate:
Life is MORE than about YOU -- "It's JESUS!"

Love ya!
