THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A retired couple was alarmed by the threat of nuclear war.
They searched the world over to find a place of “peace.”

Finally, one day they sent their pastor a letter.
The letter explained they had found a place of peace.
They had bought a new home in the Falkland Islands.

The next day the conflict between Argentina and Great Britain BEGAN!

Jesus said He spoke to give us “peace.”
Peace, for the Christian, “in the world,” comes from The WORD!
Jesus is the living WORD of God!
Peace, for the Christian, is in KNOWING that Jesus has “overcome the world!”

“In the world” there is the ole devil.
He’s defeated, and knows his destination is eternal hell.
And, he’s trying to take as many with him as he can.
If he can’t take a Christian, he’ll try to make the Christian’s life miserable.

“In the world” there are people.
People do not like moral restraints.
They want to do whatever pleases them.
If you stand for morality, decency, and righteousness; what pleases them is to give you “tribulation.”

Even in the world of “tribulation” you can have “peace.”
Because you can know that Jesus died for you, and is coming back for you.
Then, He will take you to a place where there is ETERNAL peace!

Know Jesus, Know peace.
No Jesus, no peace.

Love ya!
