Light from the Word.
Don’t lose sight of the REAL Christmas gift!
John 3:16 says God loved the world THIS way;
He GAVE His only Son so that WHOEVER believes in, trusts,
submits to, Him – can be forgiven and saved eternally!
The Scripture I’ve used today (Rom. 5:8) tells us MORE:
God KNEW we would be enslaved to sin BEFORE we were born,
God KNEW the only acceptable price for our sin was HIS blood,
God DEMONSTRATED His love for us by coming to pay that price!
The ONLY One Who fulfilled these Scriptures is JESUS CHRIST!
He is perfect love displayed!
He is the FIRST, and PERFECT Christmas gift!
Perfect innocence came to die for imperfect mankind.
The first CHRISTmas present was God’s presence!
SEEK His presence today!
