DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"PERSECUTED but still STANDING"

Lots of people believe the "road to heaven" is
DOWNhill and PAVED!
It AIN'T!!
That road is rocky, winding and all UPhill!

_______SCRIPTURE____________

John 16:1-4
1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye
should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea,
the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will
think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because
they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 But these things have I told you, that when the
time shall come, ye may remember that I told you
of them. And these things I said not unto you at the
beginning, because I was with you.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

In many countries across the world, Christians were
abducted, tortured and killed last year.
Christians homes and churches were burned and
destroyed.

Jesus told His disciples not to be "offended" because of those things.
That word also means to stumble or to be entrapped.

As Christians, we must remember: "Greater is He
that is IN you, than he that is in the world!"

(1John 4:4)

Our Lord has given us warning.
He has also given us tools to utilize:
*The Bible for learning and a guide for decisions;
*His Holy Spirit for inspiration and comfort;
*Fellow Christians for encouragement and support;
*Prayer which keeps us close to God.

In other words, don't STOP being who you are!
It is normal for the world to persecute Christians.
It's GONNA happen.
Be READY and don't STUMBLE when life becomes
difficult.

Christians comprise only a small part of the world's
population.

But, remember:
The condition of the world DEPENDS upon the
condition of the church!

KEEP STANDING for CHRIST!

Love ya!
