((Itís going to be a very busy day tomorrow (09/12/2016).
So, the devotion is being mailed tonight (09/11/2016).))

A merchant purchased some items on line.
But they were damaged in shipping and he stopped payment
on the check.

The company wrote a letter to the postmaster asking him to
give the letter to the best lawyer in town so he could collect
the money.

But soon, the company received the following letter:

"I received your letter, and since I am the postmaster,
I delivered the same to myself.
And since I am the only lawyer in town, I am taking your case.
However, I must tell you that I am also the merchant who
purchased the items that were damaged.
And if I weren't the only Baptist preacher in town, I'd tell you
exactly how weak your case is."

John 6:37
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that
cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Light from the Word.

The devil is always claiming "damaged goods!"
He's always telling Christians,
"You can't be saved or you wouldn't......."

But God has bad news for the devil and good news for the
saved sinner!

If you can go back to a day in your life when you KNOW
that you surrendered all that you are to Christ,
and asked Him to make you what He wants you to be,
then you can remember some of the following things:

You were CONVICTED of sin.
You were CONVINCED of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
You were CONQUERED by His love.
You were COMPELLED by His Holy Spirit to make a public
commitment to Christ.

If you can remember those things happening to you, then know this:
You were COMPLETELY saved by His grace!

You were accepted, adopted, cleansed,
sealed and placed in a right relationship with Jesus!

So never let the ole devil confuse you or steal away the joy of
your salvation!

Your check was accepted by God on the account of Jesus Christ.
And payment has NEVER been stopped ...
and never WILL BE stopped!

When you genuinely and repentantly place yourself in Jesusí hands,
He will NEVER let go!

Love ya!
