My partner and I were playing in a two-man "scramble" tournament.
They call it "scramble," because if one man hits a bad shot, the other
may hit a good shot; and they can "scramble" to make par or better.

My partner hit is first "T" ball.
He "topped" it, and it rolled down the middle of the fairway about 100yds.

So, I was determined to make a "sweet swing," and hit the ball smooth.
It was a sweet swing, but I hit the ball on the toe of the club.
The ball went about 200yds, but it was in the woods on the right.

I looked at my partner and said,
"That pro sold me a ball didn't have any RADAR in it!"

He said, "I know, at least mine went down the middle!
We can still make the par."

Now that's what you call a positive mental attitude!

Heb 13:20-21
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is
wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Christian, how do you maintain a positive spiritual attitude?

First, make sure Jesus is "LORD"!
Let Him be Master of ALL you do.
The Bible says in Ps 113:3,
"From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD's name is to be praised."
Plan, in ALL you do, to bring praise to Jesus!
A positive spiritual attitude is first gained by determining to honor Christ as LORD.

Second, listen always to His Holy Spirit within you!
He is always there helping you to do "good work" according to "His will."
Desire His leadership, and listen for that "still small voice." (1Kings 19:12)
Then, He will work IN you "that which is wellpleasing in His sight."
A positive spiritual attitude is worked by learning God's will and doing it.

Third, put a guard on your tongue!
As Job said, "My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart:
and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly."
(Job 33:3)
Paul said in Eph 4:29,
"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

A positive spiritual attitude results in bringing glory to Christ.

Love Christ.
Listen to His Holy Spirit.
Live, bringing praise to His Name.

Love ya!
