THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

In a suburb a Christian couple lived right next door to an atheist.
Suddenly, the Christian husband died.

The wife received very little social security, and things were difficult.
Every morning she would go out on the front porch and pray.

The atheist, next door, ridiculed her saying, "There is no God. He cannot supply your need."

One day, when she went out to pray, there were 3 bags of groceries on the porch!
The lady raised her hands and said, "PRAISE JESUS!"

The atheist spoke from his window, "I bought those, Jesus didn't!"

The lady calmly raised her hands again and said, "PRAISE JESUS! Thank You for the groceries! And, I even thank You, Jesus, for this devilish messenger You used!"

Sometimes, God supplies our need through employment.
Sometimes, when we can't work, God supplies our need through benefactors.
Either way, it is God Who supplies the ability to work, or the grace of another!

God always supplies our need "according to His riches in glory!"
God's ability to provide for us is inexhaustible!
For, His "riches in glory" include His omniscient, omnipotence and ownership!

God's "riches in glory" are given through "Christ Jesus."
To Jesus is given "all power ... in heaven and in earth" (Matt. 28:18).
In this universe, by Christ, "all things consist" (Col.1:17).

It is by Christ Jesus mankind has received the grace of God which offers eternal salvation (John 3:16)!!

Therefore, let us give to "God and our Father" the "glory for ever and ever."

And let us return our praise and thanksgiving in the same manner we received:
"by Christ Jesus!"

Love ya,
Bruce
