THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Golf is the only game in which you fail to win 99 per cent of the time.

If there is one solitary tree located on a hole, your ball will find it with unerring accuracy.

If you schedule a golf game a week in advance, it always rains.

Rom 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now matter how careful you are, sometimes bad things DO happen!

Last week, our granddaughter (about 9 months pregnant) went to visit her mother.
As she walked up on the porch and started to go up the steps, the porch separated!
She fell into the separation striking her knee on the ground and her big belly on the porch!

Of course, they went to the emergency room.
Of course, while they were on the way, they notified us.
And, we began to pray that everything would be ok.

It was!
The baby’s heart beat was normal, and everything seemed fine.
Only her knee was a little skinned.

God has promised to never leave or forsake us (Heb. 13:5).
That doesn’t mean that EVERY situation is what we plan.
But it does mean that God will be WITH us in every situation!

Because life is not fair, we often face difficult circumstances.
Faith helps us to walk THROUGH those circumstances with the presence of God!

Two days after the porch incident, our granddaughter delivered our first great-grandson!
It COULD have worked out differently.
But even if it had, we would have said with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
“17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

(Dan. 3:17-18)

God is to be praised ALL the time.
And praising Him all the time, keeps His love excitingly alive in our hearts!

Love ya!
