THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
((Thanks to Carrie for this one.))
Some of my e-mail friends have sent some errant information this year.
For instance, one e-mail said underarm deodorant probably caused cancer.
So, I stopped using it.
After about 3 days, my wife informed me I smelled like a Texas buffalo in July;
and that if I didn't take the chance on some underarm deodorant, the church members would probably not want me to be present.
But some e-mails I certainly want to correct.
For instance, those assuring me that my prayers would not be answered unless the e-mail was forwarded to a specific number of my friends.
God's phone line is ALWAYS open to a repentant heart.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
James 4:2-3 says, in part, "2...ye have not, because ye ask not. 3. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."
God instantly and certainly hears prayers.
For, it was God Who told Paul to teach us:
"Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1Thessalonians 5:17-18)
God also told James to teach us:
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:1)
Asking in faith,
Yes, He answers!
I assure you, nothing will happen to you if you don't forward this!
God's phone line is private, and does not depend on assistance.
