DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Dr. Ned Wiley tells of a time when he was preaching in
a small rural church on Mother's Day.

An elderly lady, who was very hard of hearing was audibly
encouraging him with almost every statement he made.
She was using terms like, "AMEN!" "PREACH IT BROTHER!"
and "THAT'S RIGHT!"

Near the end of his sermon, he was dramatizing motherly love.
He made a cross of himself, and said, "If I were hanged on the
highest hill, Mother of mine, Mother of mine,..."

Just then the old lady said, "GRANT IT, LORD!"

SCRIPTURE______________________________

Titus 1:1-3
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ,
according to the faith of God's elect,
and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began;
3 But hath in due times manifested his word through
preaching, which is committed unto me according to the
commandment of God our Saviour;

LIGHT from the WORD.

The preaching of Jesus Christ is "the hope of eternal life."

This hope is KNOWN to those who live
"according to the faith of God's elect."

This hope is UNDERSTOOD only by
"acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness."

Only in SURRENDER to Jesus as LORD, can we know
"the hope of eternal life."
This hope SHALL BE seen, either upon our demise,
or upon the return of Christ.

The preaching of Jesus Christ is "committed" to all Christians!!
We are to share the good news of eternal salvation offered
by God's mercy.
It is committed to all Christians upon the commandment of
our Lord, Jesus!!

2Corinthians 5:17-21 says,
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by
Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the MINISTRY of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed
unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are AMBASSADORS for Christ,
as though God did beseech you by us:
we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

YOU, Christian, are the voice of God calling men to be
reconciled to God through Christ, and to have salvation!!

SOOOOO--- "PREACH IT BROTHER!!"

Love ya!
