A homeless hitchhiker, traveling from town to town,
found some cardboard and made a sign:

Gen 39:10-12
10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day,
that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into
the house to do his business; and there was none of the men
of the house there within.
12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me:
and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

LIGHT from the WORD.

As human beings, we have a desire to be accepted.
We like to "hang out" with the crowd.
And if we aren't careful we'll be like the hitchhiker!

Life is a struggle from womb to tomb.
Sin keeps coming to the door wanting to enter.
But God says we should "rule over him!" (See Gen. 4:7)

In order to do the above, we must have some convictions
based on time-defying principles!

As Potiphar's wife persisted, Joseph continued to refuse;
until one day she began to physically force him.
But Joseph realized it was far better to lose a coat than to
lose his good conscience!
Friends, it doesn't matter what others think when we are faced
with doing right in the sight of God!

Notice the depth of character that was displayed in Joseph.
He was rich, powerful, trusted, successful.
No one was at home, and she represented power to help in
his business.

Joseph would rather have lost ALL HE HAD IN THE WORLD
than to lose what he had with GOD!
THAT'S a "conviction!"

One reason for Bible study and prayer is to develop character
by learning God's time-defying principles.
Then, being convicted those principles are right, we apply
them when we make choices.

Don't let your choices be made by preferences!
Let them be made by convictions!.

Love ya!
