THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

I once taught a computer class.
We had several "drones" set up in the classroom, which all worked off the main computer at my desk.
That way, I could monitor whatever the students were doing.

One day, I noticed that computer #5, was not busy with the present assignment.
So, I looked up, and saw the student sitting there with his arms crossed over his chest.
Then, a moment later, he began tapping his foot impatiently.

So, I walked over to his desk, and asked, "May I help you?"

He said, "Well, it's about time! I pressed the F1 button for help 5 minutes ago!"

Psalm 34
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

This song is a genuine source of encouragement!
David says he will "teach" us "the fear of the LORD."
That fear is the awesome reverence, or respect, we should have toward God.

If we have that awesome reverence and respect for Jesus, we should follow the advice of verses 13 and 14 in our "fear of the LORD!"
After all, if His Spirit is in us, then He guides us.
He guides us to keep our tongues!
And He guides us to live in righteousness, seeking peace with others.
And when we need help, we just press "F1" in our hearts ("FEAR of the LORD").

According to verse 15, our Lord is constantly watching over us.
This reminds me of 2Chronicles 7:14, which says,
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him."

Think of it!
Jesus is constantly watching over us to see what help He might give!

God has a plan that includes ALL of time.
We do not know the end of time; but God DOES.
And, God is working THROUGH time until the END of time so that those who WANT TO be saved SHALL be saved.

God is also working through time until the end to HELP His saved people live correctly, even in difficult circumstances.
Those who are of an humble spirit and willing to live for Christ are KEPT SECURELY!
Because Jesus is constantly watching over us with His presence, protection and provision!
And He offers His help in every moment of our need!

Live in awesome reverence of the Lord, and His help will accompany you.

Love ya!
