THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
(Thanks to Carmen & Deb for the joke!)
A little silver-haired lady called her neighbor.
“Come over and help me with this jigsaw puzzle! I can’t do it!”
Neighbor, “What’s it supposed to look like when you finish?”
Lady, “The picture on the box is a rooster.”
The neighbor went over to look.
Then she said, “Oh my! First, let me say we’ll NEVER get those pieces put together to look like a rooster.”
“Soooo, let’s put all the corn flakes back in the box!”
13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
A daily personal relationship with our Lord Jesus is important.
Through daily prayer and Bible study, we can be “..planted in the house of the LORD...”
A daily personal relationship with our Lord Jesus produces RESULTS.
First, daily prayer helps us “flourish” in His presence.
We desire being in His presence to pray for ourselves and others.
Second, daily Bible study helps us “bring forth fruit in old age.”
We desire to share the principles of truth we learn from His Word.
Third, this daily relationship, through prayer and Bible study proves that God is Holy and “upright.”
In Him, there is righteousness; when, in all others there is unrighteousness.
He becomes our “Rock,” or, our PRIMARY relationship.
Are you making Jesus your PRIMARY relationship?
