THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

He pulled into the parking lot of the mall and rolled all the car windows down a little to make sure his Labrador Retriever had fresh air.
She was stretched out in the back seat, and he wanted to impress on her to stay there.
So he backed away from the car, pointing his finger and saying, "STAY! STAY!"

The driver of a nearby car looked at him strangely and said,
"Why don't you just put it in park?"

_______THOUGHT________________________________________________

It would be good if we could not only train animals, but also some PEOPLE, to STAY!
Our national debt is above $14TRILLION!!

And some people are yelling that a measely 2% cut in the budget is EXTREME?

Christians, we have an obligation to PRAY for our leaders.
God teaches us that we are to pray diligently for those in authority IF --
we want to "lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."

We also have an obligation to the citizenry around us.
We have an obligation to see that those in authority do not make "the people MOURN!"
When leaders utilize their authority to do wrong, it causes GRIEF for the people.

When "political correctness" opposes moral rightness, Christians need to both PRAY and ACT!

Indeed, let us PRAY!
Let us pray that congress will use righteous judgment in producing the budget.

And let us ACT!
SPEAK to your representatives and senators about putting our runaway spending in PARK!

Love ya,
Bruce
