SCRIPTURE______________________________

Mark 9:33-37
33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he
asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves
by the way?
34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed
among themselves, who should be the greatest.
35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them,
If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all,
and servant of all.
36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and
when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name,
receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me,
receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

THOUGHT________________________________

LIGHT from the WORD.

The disciples had been arguing about who would be the
greatest among them in heaven.

Dont' laugh!
Most Christians think in terms of how marvelous they will
be in heaven!
They think of singing with glorious voices;
praising God with glowing oratory;
walking with Jesus in the streets of gold;
sitting with Him in the throne.

Those things might all come true.
But first things first!

Jesus provided an example through a small child.

We must TRUST Jesus with our whole lives!
We must OBEY Jesus and come to Him DAILY!
We must SERVE Jesus faithfully on this earth!

Here, today, while on this earth:
*We must first be CONVERTED, by SURRENDER to
Jesus as LORD of who we are!
*Then we must become as a little child, and be OBEDIENT
to Christ's will!

HERE is where we find His WILL!

Without obedient surrender to Christ there is
no salvation!
For Jesus cannot lead those who will not follow!

Put FIRST things FIRST!

TRUST Him!
OBEY Him!
SERVE Him!

THEN, life HERE will be more joyful; and,
Life THERE will be ASSURED!

Love ya!
