The strong man at the circus squeezed a lemon until no
more juice would exit.

Then, he challenged the audience:
"If anyone can get one more drop of juice from this lemon,
I'll pay him $500.00!"

A small scrawny man stepped up.
He took the lemon, squeezed it tightly, and TWO more drops exited!

As the strong man was paying him, he asked,
"How could you do that?"

The man answered, "I've been the bookeeper for the Baptist
church for 27 years."

2 Kings 20:1-5 1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death.
And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him,
and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD,
Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto
the LORD, saying,
3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked
before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done
that which is good in thy sight.
And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into
the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him,
5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people,
Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father,
I have heard thy prayer,
I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day
thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Light from the Word.

Hezekiah had seen the Lord save Judah miraculously.

But, when the king of Babylon came to visit, Hezekiah was a little to proud
and showed the king of Babylon too much.

He became ill.
Very ill.

Isaiah came to Hezekiah and said the Lord would cause him to die!

When Isaiah left, Hezekiah prayed with bitter tears!
It was a request for the Lord to remember the good he had done.
And, it was a prayer of repentance.

Listen, the Lord ALWAYS remembers the good we have done.
But, for His power to be released IN us and THROUGH us,
we need to pray with tears of REPENTANCE!

Christian, if you REALLY want to see God take hold of your life
and turn things around, pray with tears of repentance!

Christian, if you REALLY want to see our nation turned to moral rightness,
pray with tears of repentance!

Love ya!
