Today's Devotion:
"REMEDY For SIN"
Jesus is the "God-man" Who PAID for
our offenses with His own blood.
And all that receive Him as Lord also
receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:16).
Death (by sin) "reigned"; But LIFE by Christ
REIGNS!
And it reigns even OVER death!

For He hath made Him to be sin for us,
Who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in Him.

_______THOUGHT______________
ALL people have sinned! (Is. 53:6, Rom. 3:23)
We have, to simply say, gone our OWN way
instead of God's way.
Instead of being dead TO sin, we have
willingly become dead IN sin.
But God, in His inestimable mercy, has
offered a remedy!
God came in Christ, to take ALL sin away
through the horrific punishment of the cross!
God Who created us, is justified to REDEEM us!
He is "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the
sin of the world." (John 1:29)
The condemnation of sin is two-fold:
1) it brings the penalty of physical death;
2) it brings the penalty of spiritual death.
Physical death is separation from living people.
Spiritual death is separation from the living God!
Christ is not only an "offering" for sin cost; but
also an offering for eternal life. (Rom. 6:23)
Our ONLY "righteousness" is to be found
"IN Christ!"
ALL people are offered this remedy.
Those who receive Christ as Lord also
receive the eternal remedy.
