THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

What is the most common remark for people over 60 when they enter an antique store?
"I REMEMBER these!"

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
KJV

Think with me fellow-believer...what a BLESSED day when I saw the Savior! And I REMEMBER!

Though I have not yet seen Him physically, I have seen Him spiritually. He was on the cross, bleeding from His hands, feet, head and back. But His eyes were loving and kind and focused on ME! His compelling look drew me closer because of Who He is.

He was, and is, the only true Son of the Father. He is the "Word become flesh," and He has dwelt and is dwelling among us. He is the glory of the Father in a human. He is the glory of a human indwelt by the Father.

He is the "first-born from the dead," the only One to defeat death, hell and the grave!

He is, and always shall be, "full of grace and truth."
Full of grace as He pursued me when I cowardly ran from Him.
Full of truth to tell me I was headed for hell, and He would accept a U-turn!
Full of grace as He sent His Holy Spirit to convince me of His love.
Full of truth as He sent His Holy Spirit to convict me of sin.

When I was mourning for my sin, He gave me laughter.
When I was in desolation and far from the Father's love, He gave me joy.
When I was in captivity to sin, He led it captive and gave me gifts to serve Him.
When I was distressed, He made me to rejoice with joy unspeakable.

And He did all that when I came trembling like a convicted felon, and knelt at His cross.
At His "mercy seat" I found forgiveness and love beyond degree.

He is closer than a brother, and my "Kinsman Redeemer."
In Him is eternal life, and His life is in me.

He is the Savior for this sinner, the Master for this servant.
How shall I ever say "no" to His requests?

Love ya,
Bruce
