THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
What is the most common remark for people over 60 when they enter an antique store?
"I REMEMBER these!"
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Think with me fellow-believer...what a BLESSED day when you met the Savior, Jesus!
Do you REMEMBER?
He was, and is, the only true Son of the Father.
He is the "Word become flesh," and He has dwelt and is dwelling among us.
He is the glory of the Father in a human.
He is the glory of a human indwelt by the Father.
He is the "first-born from the dead," the only One to defeat death, hell and the grave!
He is, and always shall be, "full of grace and truth."
Full of grace as He pursued us as we cowardly ran from Him.
Full of truth to tell us we were headed for hell, and He would accept a U-turn!
Full of grace as He sent His Holy Spirit to convince us of His love.
Full of truth as He sent His Holy Spirit to convict us of sin.
When we were mourning for our sin, He gave us laughter.
When we were in desolation and far from the Father's love, He gave us joy.
When we were in captivity to sin, He led it captive and gave us gifts to serve Him.
When we were distressed, He made us rejoice with joy unspeakable.
And He did all that when we came trembling like a convicted felon, and knelt at His cross.
At His "mercy seat" we found forgiveness and love beyond degree.
He is closer than a brother, and our "Kinsman Redeemer."
In Him is eternal life, and His life is in us.
He is the Savior for the sinner, the Master for the servant.
Do YOU remember?
Doesn't that memory inspire you to serve Him?
