THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Tibedeaux, a backwoods boy from South Louisiana, joined
the USAF.
After basic training, he was sent to a special school for more
rigorous training.
Part of that school included parachute jumping from 10,000 ft.

On his first jump, Tibedeaux listened intently as the instructor
demonstrated what to do.
He said, "Jump out of the plane, count to 5, and pull this ripcord
(pointing to the one at the bottom of the pack near his belly)."
Then, he said, "If that doesn't work, reach to your back and pull
this ripcord (pointing to the one at the bottom of the pack on his back.)"
Then, he said, "And there'll be a truck down there to bring you back
to the base."

Tibedeaux jumped, counted 5 and pulled the first ripcord.
NUTHIN!
He reached to his back and pulled the second ripcord.
NUTHIN!

Tibedeaux said, "UH HUH! An' ah bet dat sarge lied about da
truck too!"

Acts 16:23-26
23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast
them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the
inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises
unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the
foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all
the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Light from the Word.

DURING a difficult time, we may not find the peace we desire.
AFTER a diffcult time, we may not find the consolation we desire.

But, as Christians, we can ALWAYS count on the PRESENCE of
our Lord Jesus.

Sometimes we become imprisoned by our own minds causing anxiety
and stress.
That's when we need to pray earnestly.

Phil 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
KJV

When Paul and Silas prayed, there was an earthquake that freed
them from their shackles.
When we pray earnestly, our Lord will free us from the self-made
stress of worry and anxiety.

Whatever you are facing today, face it with the knowledge that
Jesus is WITH you.
And face it with earnest prayer.

Remember His PRESENCE!

Love ya!
