THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Dispatcher: "9-1-1 What's the nature of your emergency?"
Caller: "My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only
two minutes apart!!"
Dispatcher: "Is this her first child?"
Caller: "No, of course not! This is her HUSBAND!"

2 Tim 1:9-11
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling,
not according to our works, but according to his own purpose
and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the
world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour
Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life
and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle,
and a teacher of the Gentiles.

Light from the Word.

Sometimes, when we become excited about things, what we HEAR
doesn't fully register.
And, of course, sometimes we don't exactly SAY what we should.
Kinda like the little mix-up between the 911 operator and the caller above.

And, when we're excited or confused about things which are happening
to us, we tend to forget what God has taught us in His Word.

God "HATH saved us!"
It is not only a hope of a future existence:
It is a realization of what has ALREADY happened!

By the grace and mercy of God, those who have surrendered to Christ
as Lord, ARE saved!
They are "called with a holy calling!"

When one surrenders to Christ, God:
*washes us clean in the blood of Christ,
*seals us in His Holy Spirit,
*secures in us eternal glory,
*writes our name in His "book of life."

Let us REMEMBER and ACT!

May we praise Him for His grace, and
share with others the joy of salvation.

Love ya!
