The young boy was seemingly transfixed by the bannister
on the escalator.
He stood quietly watching.
The manager of the department store approached him.
He asked, "Son, are you trying to figure out where the
bannister goes?"
The boy kept watching for a moment.
Then, he turned and said, "No, sir. I'm just waiting for
my bubblegum to return!"

LIGHT from the WORD. 
This song of Moses is the oldest psalm of which there is record.
God is the "dwelling place" for all mankind (verse 1).
Out of His eternal existence, God has formed man
"of the dust of the ground." (See Gen. 2:7)
God created man to exist eternally with Him!
And He exists eternally in holiness and righteousness.
But God also gave man free will.
And when man chose to sin, God had no choice but to
"turn man to destruction," for God cannot dwell
with UNholiness and UNrighteousness!
If man will REPENT and RETURN to God, He Who kills
can also make alive! (See Deut.32:39)
Jesus has the power to make the UNrighteous righteous again!
Jesus has the power to make the UNholy holy again!
And God DESIRES to use that power for man's benefit!
(See Rom. 5:8)
Only God knows when the "bannister of life" will cease to turn!
"RETURN" before the escalator STOPS!
